Christianity or the Papacy
Fr. Alexey Young
A quick, but thorough, examination of the choice which, as the author (and the Orthodox Church) sees it, must be made — there is no room for anything resembling the papacy, as it has come to be seen by the Roman Catholic Church, in the Church of the Apostles and Martyrs. Though beyond the scope of this brief examination, this is no less true when the would-be pope has historic claims to the title "Orthodox" (as of course was once true of Rome itself).
